A little about The Tramshed
The Tramshed is a new state-of-the-art student accommodation site that opened its doors in Preston in September 2017. 316 rooms are available in 4 corner blocks, with a choice of en-suite rooms in shared apartments or private studios. It is located a stone’s throw away from all the local student lecture buildings – the perfect location to make The Tramshed their home away from home.
The Tramshed offers a new benchmark for student accommodation in Preston – it has raised the bar for what students can expect of their university home. It truly has the most stylish design with the most functional use of space of any student accommodation in the city. We’re the first building in the whole of Preston to have illuminated signage on top of the building and on a clear day you can see it from over a mile away - the building really stands out! The owners worked with the building designers from the very beginning to ensure that their industrial theme was complemented by a great use of space. It has extensive communal facilities including:
- a café area with state of the art coffee machine and vending machine
- an epic social space with plenty of space, and games facilities including pool and table football
- a fully-equipped gym on-site
- landscaped gardens to get some fresh air, or even study when the sun comes out
- a dedicated quiet/collaborative study area with plenty of tables, and a presentation area with a huge TV, and USB, HDMI and plug fittings for group projects
The facilities are all carefully designed to foster a real community feeling, which helps our students to truly engage with their university experience and to feel at home.
Winners are to be announced at the Awards evening on the 11th October 2018.
Well done to The Tramshed team for all the hard work you have put in to make this such a great scheme.
Good Luck for the win!
